What’s something you believe everyone should know.
I think that everyone should know one very important sentence in as many languages as possible. In German, that sentence is wo ist Das baden zimmer? In French, it’s ou est la Salle de ban? In Spanish, it’s donde esta el bano? In Italian, it’s dove il bagno? I’m working on Russian and a couple of other languages because even your English speaking city, you never know when you might desperately need this sentence.
The sentence is, where is the bathroom? Just because English is the most spoken language in the world doesn’t mean that everyone understands it. It’s a sign of respect to know a little something in several languages.

Really, when we think about it, you’re right ~ this is not a communication for which waving hands and body language will work very well! 🤣
Very nice idea of knowing one sentence in many languages. I have similar with my friends, because they are quite the international bunch, so I have ended up learning ‘cheers’ in about ten different languages. Makes for an interesting conversation starter when meeting new people from different countries too.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Lewis. I think the ability to communicate with as many people as you can is important. Unfortunately, I couldn’t type the sign language version 😊 Prost.
Absolutely agree, which is why I am a little sad that I only clocked this idea in my late 20s/early 30s. Think I should have tried harder with my French and German classes at school, but I suppose you live and learn. I think it is a great sign of respect to be able to speak with people in their language. Į sveikatą! 😊
Oh my Lithuanian! Well done
