This video from the CBC in Canada is telling us that the family of Virginia Guiffre have announced her death at the age of 41…by suicide. She claimed to have been trafficked from Maralago, the Trump owned golf resort by Ghisilane Maxwell for Jeffrey Epstein, and she also claimed sexual abuse at the hand of Prince Andrew of England . If proven true, her allegations could have toppled both the seated president of the United States and a senior member of the British royal family. She claimed to have been trafficked at the age of 16 and 17,which made her a minor at the time. She never changed her story. Virginia Guiffre was a mother of 3 and a fierce warrior against sexual abuse.

When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?
In October of 2013,I gave my number to a guy who worked in the same hotel I did. I knew he was single but he didn’t ask for my number, and I wasn’t sure if he even wanted it, but I wanted to get to know him outside of work, so I went up to the podium he was standing behind and placed my business card with my name and number one the back, facing up, onto the podium and tapped it with my fingernail. He looked at it and said, “I guess I’m gonna have to use this. ” I replied, “Please do. ” and walked away. A couple of hours after I got home from work the same day, he called, and we’ve been together almost every day since. He’s now my husband of nearly 10 years, and it was the best risk I’ve ever taken . I was 48 years old and nervous as hell because it was not something that most women would be comfortable doing . I very nearly chickened out. But I put my ego aside and made the move anyway. So, ladies, my advice to you is , DON’T BE AFRAID TO INTRODUCE YOURSELF. It might be tradition for the man to make the first move, but when it comes to love, to hell with tradition.
This 2026 Volkswagen is exactly why I miss being able to drive
I was never a fan of the VW bug. As far as Volkswagen is concerned, there’s only one model that I fully lusted over, and it’s coming back in 2026 with a vengeance . May I present the 2026 Volkswagen Carmen Ghia. It will be available in both gas and electric versions. It’s more stunning than I remember in its styling, both the exterior and the interior. This is a car that I’m going to have to put the hubby in so I can get a passenger seat test drive. Check it out in the video below.
Could Canada end or even annex Alaska?

Alaska is the USA’s only link to the north, and David Eby,British Columbia’s premiere, has shon a spotlight on just how much the state depends upon the province and the country of Canada. Because of Donald Trump and his childlike Tarrifs, Canada is stating the fact that our relationship with the USA is over and Alaska would be very smart to begin thinking about just how good becoming Canadian would be. From healthcare to stability, it would really make sense.

Canada has long understood that we have options regarding who we sell our energy to, but we’ve been loyal to the USA instead of worrying about our own economy. Mark Carney is right when he says that Canada is an ambitious country, and Trump has given us the opportunity to prove him right.

Our new family members have been here checking out their new home for ten days now, and this is a milestone that we decided to celebrate.
They’ve come a long way since snuggling together in the wooden chair.
And a long way since looking out the window together.
So today is the day that they get a BIIIG SURPRISE!
And we get the absolute pleasure of watching them both enjoy it. Yes, the floor to ceiling cat tree has returned. For the first time ever…

First day of early voting in Canada 🇨🇦
The hubby and I literally went across the street to the community center and voted, which made today a very good Friday for a couple of atheists. It wasn’t until we’d left that we realized that we didn’t get a sticker, but we did our civic duty, and it feels good.
Meanwhile, the cats have been here for 9 days now, and they’ve settled in nicely. Still looking forward to the day when they finally decide to snuggle with us and not just each other. Though it’s awfully cute to watch them both.
They’ve chosen a chair
They’ve known each other since before they were born. It just makes sense that they would want to snuggle with each other. Yesterday, Khonsu joined his sister in the chair she chose to get some nap time upon. I was able to approach them in my wheelchair to take a couple of photos.
Then, later yesterday evening, the hubby snapped a shot of his own
Things are going very well. With the possible exception of the very early morning, loud playtime that makes sleep quite difficult for mommy, but I’m getting used to it and getting a little more sleep every night so far. They’re eating well as all of the food is gone every evening. Also, Athena is a lot calmer now while eating. She used to eat so quickly that she barfed, so her foster started using a slow feeder, and that did the trick. We’re still using it, and she’s been good.
I’m still waiting to get some snuggle time with either of them, but I’m not worried. It’s getting closer to happening every day. Khonsu has been on my chair with me several times for brief visits. Athena is shyer with us, and that’s okay. It takes as long as it takes.
They’ve already filled our home and our hearts with so much love ❤️

Our cats are 3 years old and were rescued from our local humane society. They came with the names of two ancient gods .Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts. And Khonsu, the ancient Egyptian god of the moon. My husband and I are cat lovers and atheists. But as cat lovers, we will worship these two far more than the gods that they’re named for, ever were.
