Khonsu and Athena really enjoy their window time together ❤️ 😻😻
First, I got a great one of Athena, who got so much braver this morning when she came out from under her father’s lift chair and got petted by both of us.

After my husband left to pick up my mom, I found myself with both cats in the room, and I was able to get a shot of Khonsu in the dining room window.

It’s what cats need most while acclimating to a new home and a new family. We were able to get Khonsu and Athena yesterday afternoon, a day early. Last night was definitely eventful, with litter boxes being used by both cats, some loud late night snacking by Athena, and I came extremely close to getting my first sleep with Khonsu .
When it got dark, Khonsu began bravely exploring his surroundings, and he rubbed his face against my hand 2 or 3 times. I was thrilled with how little time it took him to get even that comfortable. Then, after I heard them both use a litter box, Khonsu sat beside me in my super roomy and comfy lift chair for about 15 seconds. Apparently, he also walked behind the hubby’s head, too. My lift chair has a piece of fabric underneath the seat that Khonsu decided would be a safe place in which to sleep, and he was there when it was time for me to use the bathroom this morning. I got up extremely slowly until the hubby told me that Khonsu was safely out of danger and rolled very carefully to the bathroom where Khonsu decided to join me, rubbing against my legs and getting full body pets while exploring the seat of the bath lift. He’s such a brave and sweet boy. Athena is also enjoying time underneath my husband’s lift chair, but she hasn’t been quite comfortable enough to interact with her surroundings during the day. As soon as they let us, we will take some many photos of our two gorgeous fur babies. Until then, enjoy the 3 photos that we have.

What animals make the best/worst pets?
What makes a pet the best? If it has the same love language that you have. For me, that pet is a male cat intelligent, independent, and snuggly when he wants to snuggle. Soothing with his purr. Trusting enough to let me massage his toes and tummy. Dogs are good too, if a bit on the needy side. I really like a furry animal who fills both my lap and my heart ❤️. I would consider a ferret, bunny, or a guinea pig among the animals that I may enjoy spending time with. While I like horses, they are just too big for lap time. But a domesticated fox would be of interest.
What makes a pet the worst? If it terrifies you or gives you the creeps. For me, there is a list of worst pets starting with anything that flies,so no birds or bats or even butterflies. Next up is spiders, even the furry ones. Insects. Then snakes and lizards. While fish are beautiful and calming to watch, it seems cruel to take them away from their natural habitat and put them into a claustrophobic tank with other fish they may never meet. And I just don’t understand the appeal of a turtle.
But that’s me. You might have other criteria.
I’ve been pretty depressed lately because the weather has been sunny but too cold to go for a roll and I’ve been desperate for some vitamin D and some dogs to pet and today I was finally sated for those needs. Hopefully, you can tell from the look on my face.

This is why we should be voting for Mark Carney on April 28th.
Because he understands the global economy better than anyone else who wants the job of Canada’s Prime Minister. Like it or not,Donald, it’s simply not possible to go back in time more than 100 years. Running a country to serve nostalgia is no way to run a country.
How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?
During the covid19 outbreak.Since I rarely leave the house in winter and never touch anything but my wheelchair, I didn’t need to adapt during the winter months. In spring, summer, and into mid autumn ,the only adaptation was wearing a face mask inside public areas, and that was for my protection because I’m immunocompromised. And then I got vaccinated.
Post covid, I’m still up to date with my vaccine. I still wear a mask if I have to go to the hospital or the doctors office. But that’s the only change to my life which, again, is for my own protection.
I’ve been hoping that the temperature would be a little bit higher than it currently is so that I could get outside and enjoy a roll to the dog park. Currently, it’s 12 degrees Celsius out there, which would be alright without wind, but since my tablet is telling me that it feels like only 9 degrees, I’ll pass for today and hopefully it will be warmer next week so I can get outside because I desperately need some vitamin D and some fresh air as I’ve been getting winter depression lately and, while it’s sunny, I’m not trying to freeze my boobs off. My husband is out there now, checking on the temperature for himself, and having a cigarette, so he will let me know if my boobs will be safe or not. If I can trust that man with anything, it’s my boobs 😉.
