If your future self could send you one sentence, what do you hope it would say?
You’re going to get better for a while before you get worse.
Unfortunately I’m facing the real world fact that I’m a 61 year old woman who is permanently, partially paralyzed woman who uses a wheelchair. The only thing that’s going to get better is the technology ofon the he wheelchair i use. The truth is I’ve been depressed lately and I’m finding it difficult to hold onto hope that I will experience any more physical improvement before my life ends.
Beginning on Monday hubby and I are starting to actively look at condos physically again and we’ll be looking for a new SUV as well. I’m also hoping to take a test drive before purchasing a new wheelchair.
We’re changing our lives mostly for my mental health. And I couldn’t be happier about that.

I’ve always been inspired by your strength and determination. The way you love your hubby and your cats is so heartwarming, especially when you shared posts of yourself learning to walk again that really shows your grit. But I know firsthand that when people say you’ll get better, it’s not as simple as it sounds. Sometimes it really does take a miracle, along with your own strong will to walk again.
