Who are your favorite artists?
Henri Metisse. He’s hanging on my newly painted white fireplace

This one’s titled Dessert Harmony in Red.
Georgia Okeef, her landscapes are a favorite

Edgar Degas, he painted the ballet beautifully

Henri de toulouse Lautrec as a dancer at heart, I adore his Moulin Rouge pieces

Eduard Munch he painted emotions better than anyone

And my all time favorite artist is Jean Louis David, who painted my favorite piece that hangs in the Louvre, The coronation of Josephine

These represent a few of the artists that live in my heart.
When I was in University in the 90s, the annual poster sale would set up in the student center and would be the chance to stock up on prints of Dali, Klee, and Kandinsky, because it was cool to have the weird stuff on your dorm wall. I do admit I still find those styles interesting.
It’s difficult to pick a favorite, but I am always amazed at the talent of artists, like the15th century painters who could paint a bowl of fruit which is almost photographic in nature, not to mention the ones who can capture the essence of an unshelled walnut.
Block mounting posters is a great and light way of making your posters look like a canvas original. Unfortunately, it’s pretty pricey, but so is framing them. If you move frequently Block mounting is definitely the way to go.
