The holidays that I celebrate

How do you celebrate holidays?

They aren’t religious holidays because I don’t believe. They aren’t seasonal holidays because I don’t think it’s important to celebrate the change of the season.

The only holidays that I celebrate are birthdays of my family and friends. Thankfully, the vast majority of them occur during the month of July and the anniversaries that my husband and I have amassed over the years. We are about to celebrate the 11th anniversary of our first date on October 16th and our 9th wedding anniversary on January 3rd. The year is far less expensive when you don’t have a forced holiday to decorate or buy everyone that you know a gift. While you aren’t getting a Christmas card from us, you are getting a generous and thoughtful gift from us to celebrate your existence and how much we appreciate you. It might be a lovely meal out or something that you need, but it’s in celebration of the person, not the day.
