Are you holding a grudge? About?
There are people that I prefer to keep a distance from. There are people that I prefer not to talk to. But I don’t hold a grudge against anyone.
A couple of years ago I decided that it was better for my mental health not to keep people in my life who make me feel bad about my life, whether they mean to or not and this action has been a very healthy thing for me, personally. I’m focusing on the positive and not the opinions of others. When you’re in long-term recovery, it’s too easy to get distracted by negativity in any form, so it’s been better to just cut it out of my life. I don’t have the luxury to worry about the feelings or the problems of others, I have only my own issues with which I have to think about. So if you don’t have something positive to offer you should keep your offers to yourself. I have more than enough negativity in my own brain, along with a piece of myxoma tumor and several aneurysms. Thank you.

Thanks Ana
Take care of yourself.
Exactly my point 😊
That’s powerful.
☺️
On my first read I felt disturbed by the impression that somehow you were currently being abused by someone. I do hope that impression is mistaken.
I’m sure most of us have heard the Forgive and Forget mantra. But, honestly, it’s not that I can do either; over time I simply move the person to a lower level of response, if at all.
Not being abused currently, no.😊
When you realize that holding a grudge is not about the person, but about me. The grudge affects me only. It doesn’t do anything to the other person. It’s a lot like mirrors and reflections. Not about reality. G.
Exactly 💯
