A physical disability shop,with a twist

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

I would open a shop that had different aids for people with physical disabilities. I’d have things like canes and walkers and wheelchairs, even the most up to date wheelchairs that climb stairs, along with lift chairs and special toilet seats and caregivers, yes actual trained people who you can hire to help you bathe, dress, and groom you as well as cook and clean for you. DO you need the person to live in or out? It’s your choice. Sound good?  How about a chauffeur service to take you anywhere you need to go? What’s the twist you ask.

It would all be free of charge. And you would get whatever you require within 48 hours. All you would have to do is prove that you are physically disabled with your doctor accompanying you into our shop for your first visit, and you’ll be in our system .

Because if you have special needs, you should be specially cared for . After all it’s not your fault that you’re physically disabled, and you shouldn’t have to pay through the nose for the things that you require to live a life with dignity and as much independence as your disability allows.

I know this is impossible to achieve without an amazing healthcare system doing it for you, so it’s just my dream… for now.

    1. Just something I’ve been thinking about for 9 years now. All disability aids should be free to those who need them. Disability doesn’t just happen to those who can afford it. And it’s bloody expensive!

  1. Couldn’t agree more. This would make me feel like a valuable person, and I don’t even know how that would change my life. I can only imagine.

    1. Would you like me to dedicate a post here regarding your gofundme? I could post it on Wednesday midday as it’s the most looked at that day. I no longer post to social media.
