Ring of fire

I live in the ring of fire, which means that I have felt the earth move under my feet and wheels more than a few times. Especially when I lived in Los Angeles.

Recently, we had a couple of small quakes just off Vancouver Island. Registering around 5.0 on the Richter scale .I didn’t even feel the first one and was awakened by the second one this morning.

I woke up, mumbled the word earthquake, and went back to sleep. It’s pointless to panic at anything below 6.0, as long as there’s nothing that can fall on you. And if you live here, there will never be anything that can fall onto you.

I’d rather deal with a little shaking than a category five hurricane or a tornado.
