I am what I am, and I do what I can

What could you do more of?

Since I became disabled 9 years ago, my motto has become, if you can do something, you should do it. I’ve been pushing myself recently, and it has worked out. I now know that I can walk 12 steps forward and back without my ankle foot orthotic brace every other day. At this point, I require a rest day in-between, and that’s okay. There’s no need to push myself into an injury.

So my response to this question is not effing much!

I’m now eating with my dentures, and it feels great . Yesterday, I went and had fancy hotel tea with the hubby, my mom and her friend Yvonne, and Yvonne’s daughter, Karen, who were visiting from New Zealand and it was lovely being able to eat with everyone and not just watch 😊 .

  1. Dentures totally transformed my life. An enormous amount of American credibility rests on our teeth.

In my case, I had the dentist drill a hole in the center of the (very nonconductive) acrylic so that I could keep transmitting energy from the tip of my tongue to one of my mouth roof glands, in a healing Taoist exercise which has done me a lot of good.

The result was much more than I expected. As a singer, the plate itself resolved some asymmetricalities in the palate, and the drilled hole acts as a sound hole for the resonance chamber which is our mouths. My singing voice is now clearer, more powerful and melodic, than it was in my twenties and thirties…

  2. That’s sounds like a lovely outing, and I’m glad were able to enjoy it. I immediately thought, “Only in Canada, eh? Pity!” 🌹🤓

  3. It is wonderful that you are an active blogger. That is a blessing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Cheers!
