What kind of energy?

What things give you energy?

I don’t drink coffee. Or any ofher caffinated beverage I start my day with a fresh fruit smoothie with collagen powder. Lunch is either mulligatawny soup or a PBnJ and for dinner it’s pasta or something from a local kitchen. Tonight it was beef stroganoff, withroastedroot vegetables. Sometimes I just have a fruit bar for lunch, or I’ll forget about lunch altogether. I need to drink more water, but that’s what fuels my physical energy.

I found the healthier I get the less brain fog and lethargy I experience as a result of the brain damage.

My  creative energy comes and goes, ebbs and flows. I require inspiration to fuel my creative mind.

  1. Happy to hear there is less brain fog and lethargy. Keeping a Brita pitcher on the kitchen counter rather than the refrigerator reminds me to drink water, or I’ll fill my water bottle and keep it nearby me indoors. I forget to eat, too, but there are also some really decent and tasty protein supplement drinks available now. My favorite is “OWYN” (only what you need) made with pea protein. It’s not a replacement for food, but easy to drink for extra fuel. It’s also very low in sugar. The powdered form is better mixed in a blender or Magic Bullet, but they’re also available in single portions. Smoothies are yummy too. I made one with just frozen strawberries and almond milk today. PB&J has been a favorite snack since I had enough teeth to chew. I’ve been toasting it with apricot preserves in recent years.

My last therapist suggested I set reminders on my phone for eating and other tasks. I might implement that idea. It’s a lot of work maintaining the human body, but we have no choice. 🤓
