How often do you walk or run?
It’s going to be a lot more
Perfect timing for this prompt!
Now that I know that I’m able to do a very short walk without my ankle foot orthotic brace, I’m determined to walk further and further without it. Hopefully, I will be able to graduate to the handrailing in the hallway outside the condo soon . Once I get encouraged, I have a tendency to push myself more and more,as proven by the fact that I’ve just recently achieved balance and now have ditched the AFO. Still being careful, so I’m not injuring my body or my brain in the process, I still have those pesky aneurysms to consider, after all. I’m looking forward to getting the left leg strong enough to try the stairs without the brace. These are my next goals. I look forward to achieving them one step at a time. By the time I reach the ten year anniversary of my stroke next August, I’d really like to be walking around the handrailing outside our condo at least once. I think this is a reasonable goal. At least, I hope it is.
