2016 has been the year of the celebrity death. In the past week alone we lost George Michael and today Carrie Fisher . It’s a good thing I’m not famous or I would have died … twice. (If you count the back end of 2015. )
After the news broke regarding Carrie Fisher, I casually made a remark to my husband and he replied, you should tweet that. And, without thinking, I did. I tweeted the following image along with the words below the image.

Then promptly forgot about it. Until my phone lost it’s mind with notifications. I’m usually good, on an original tweet for 5 or less retweets and under 10 likes. This stupid little off the cuff remark, admittedly in poor taste., has currently garnered 295 likes and 156 retweets! I guess there were more people, like me, who needed a chuckle than I would have thought.
Sorry Keith for using your celebrity to goose what little I may have. Please don’t die.
** UPDATE Tweet has now received 514 likes and 296 retweets, it’s been viewed 59951 times. More views than my tweet that was retweeted by a bona-fide celebrity.
I think our dear old midnight rambler is good for a few years yet!
