So we’ve been living with our cats for 7 months now and something very special happened last night that I’ve been hoping for every second of those 7 months. I finally had one of them on my lap for 5 minutes. Khonsu has been slowly getting more affectionate with me for the last few days, like he was before I fell,and I thought he might sit on my chair with me and have been encouraging him to do just that ,but with no luck so far.
Last night, my husband was getting up from his chair, and Athena was on his lap as usual. He said something to the effect of, what am I going to do with you, and I replied, put her on my lap, so he did.
To my shock and amazement she layed down and I began to pet her gently. She started to purr so loudly.
I told hubby to take a picture for proof. I don’t think I’ve smiled so big since our wedding.
