There are more Ukrainian people living in Canada than any other country on the planet, with the exception of Ukraine. We’ve had a long and great relationship with the Ukraine, which is why Mark Carney’s surprise visit on Ukrainian independence day wasn’t a surprise for Canadians. Canada has been and will be on the side of Ukraine financially, and whatever else we can give militarily. In June of this year, Canada coughed up another 2 billion dollars and then some.
