Athena met doe

Yesterday something finally happened that we’ve been waiting for. Athena, who is very much a window kitty, finally met doe a female deer who loves munching on the leaves of a plant just outside Athena’s preferred dining room window. When the doe looked directly at her, Athena’s fur immediately stood up, and she began to shake, but she didn’t move from her spot in the window. Athena’s very brave, and thankfully, the hubby took a photo of the moment

Good thing it wasn’t Khonsu because he’d have wet himself. I mean, he’s fine with small animals, like squirrels, but not so much with dogs walking across the street. I can’t imagine he’d enjoy meeting a big animal like doe.

We can’t wait until drag chickens start nesting outside the dining room window next month, it’ll be interesting for sure.
