To travel this year, starting locally within my province, then expanding to include multiple provinces
To be healthier this year. Especially where my diet is concerned. I need to put on some weight. I know it sounds like I’m bragging, but being underweight has been an issue for the last year.
And lastly,
I resolve to take my mental health more seriously. It’s time for me to allow myself to not spend time around people who make me feel bad about myself or my life ,whether or not they mean to. And I need to make myself available to those who make me feel happy.
I am sharing my resolutions in hopes that it makes me more accountable. Please feel free to share yours in the comments 😊 Happy New Year to you all!
Can’t afford to give to the needy this year? Give your time, your kindness, your smile, a compliment, your ear. Especially your ear!
With all of the anger fueling the world right now, listening has become more important than ever. Offering someone an ear, even if only to vent their frustrations for a few minutes, might just be what the world needs right now to stop us from violence.
Healing starts with listening. Listening leads to hearing and hearing leads to understanding, which leads to change.
Giving with no conditions, no religion, and no expectations or ulterior motivation. That’s what boxing day should be.
A town in northern Ontario called Cochran is ACTIVELY seeking residents, by offering plots of land valued at 50,000 canadian dollars for just 10 ,yes TEN cad. You’ll want to beef up your winter wardrobe, because Cochran is the only town in Canada that keeps Polar bears safe. Enjoy the following from the CBC.
I really enjoy channels that are reacting to things about Canada, like Tyler Bucket’s channel. Recently, I started following a similar channel called Mert Can. In many ways, I prefer the way the host with his charming accent and his way of not talking over each video to which he reacts. Today’s post deals with something I didn’t know about. There exists a luxury train that travels between Vancouver on Canada’s west coast to Toronto at the entrance to eastern Canada. The train is called the Canadian and the 4 day,4 night one way fare is 5250 Canadian dollars which includes all of your meals and hotels on either end of the trip. And there are rooms that cater to the wheelchair user too.
Check out the following video if this sounds like the perfect way to see the vast majority of Canada.
My mother and I have been faithfully watching HBO’s the gilded age since episode 1 of season 1,and we both love it, almost as much as we loved Downton Abby which was created by the same fellow, Julian Fellows. We’ve been loving the cast, especially. It’s truly a whose who of New York actors from Cynthia Nixon and Christine Baranski and Nathan Lane to Audra Mcdonald and little known Louisa Jacobson. While you might not immediately recognize her, I’m betting you know at least one of her relatives. And this is not news to fans of the show, but Ms. Jacobson is one of 3 daughters of Meryl Streep. Who, as you very likely recall, is a friend of the aforementioned Christine Baranski, having acted in Mama Mia 1 and 2 together. But Ms. Streep is also friendly with Cynthia Nixon as well, having acted in the movie Marvin’s Room together in the 1990s. Let’s not forget her movie past with Nathan Lane in Ironweed. She’s practically family to this production. Although, I’m sure you can guess where I’m going with this, but HERE’S MY PREDICTION…
Left, Louisa Jacobson Gummer, right Denee Benton
Louisa is playing the niece of Christine and Cynthia’s characters. We have yet to meet her mother. Could we be lucky enough to add Oscar darling Meryl Streep to the cast for even just a sentence on a happy occasion? Or perhaps even a short paragraph on a not so happy occasion? HBO’s got the clout. Will they step up? I hope so
Unfortunately, doctors still know very little about the brain as anyone undergoing treatment for brain cancer or even multiple benign aneurysms will lament ad nauseum . This report from CTV news in Canada has some very interesting tidbits.
In my last post, I said that I would get tickets or die trying. Well, I tried HARD, but it wasn’t meant to be. Honestly, I’m fine with that. It’s still a LOT of effort to even get me there, and do I really want to spend hours in such a huge crowd? As much as I’d love the concert itself, it’s just too much. I mean, it’s not the ticket price, which is admittedly astronomical but doable, but the wheelchair accessible seating is something that the venue makes far too difficult to purchase.
So, another Stones concert occurs with me singing Miss You to myself .
I’m surprisingly far less disappointed than I expected I would be .
